Merlin was a magician according to legend.  It was a time of chivalry and where knights fought for their King and country.  A time of peace in the reign of King Arthur.  King Arthur was born to Uther Pendragon and Igraine. Merlin took Arthur when he was a baby from King Uther and took him to live with Sir Hector.  Arthur grew up with Sir Hectors' son Kay.  Arthur was taught to read, write, and study astronomy, as well as hunt in the forest.  Sometimes he could be gone for days on end. One day while Arthur was out hunting, Sir Hector had a visitor, and it was Merlin.		to The inn there was a sword in a stone, so he decided that he would borrow that one then put it back when the tournament had finished Merlin had already told Sir Hector and Kay about the story of the mysteriously appearing sword and whoever pulls the sword from the stone would be the future King of England.  But Arthur did not know this as he was out hunting So Arthur went to the church and pulled out the sword. He hurried back to give the sword to Kay. Kay said to him.  "This is not my sword, where did you get it?" Arthur told Kay that he borrowed it from the stone near the church. Kay rushed to tell his father what Arthur had said.  Sir Hector went to tell Merlin what had happened.
He told Sir Hector that there was to be a tournament in Camelot to determine who were the best knights to serve for The Round Table. When Kay heard this he begged his father to let him go to Camelot and fight in the tournament.  So Sir Hector told Kay to get Arthur and tell him to get ready to go to Camelot.  Arthur could not hold his excitement, he wished for Kay to be a knight of The Round Table. During their ride to Camelot Merlin told them many stories, which had happened in Camelot and of the bad time, it was going through. Soon they reached an inn and decided to settle there to rest there and feed the horses.	After a long rest they made their way to Camelot.  They talked about many things, the Knights of The Round Table and their adventures. Soon they reached Camelot.  There were knights from many countries and their ladies, people sitting around waiting for the tournament to begin. As the tournament was about to start Kay realized that he had left his sword at the inn, so Arthur went back to get it.  When he reached the inn it was closed.  Everyone had gone to the tournament. What could Arthur do? He did not want Kay to miss the tournament.  He remembered when he was going	After the tournament had finished, Merlin replaced the sword in the stone.  Merlin told all the knights to try and pull the sword from the stone. All the knights tried but they could not pull the sword from the stone.  Then Merlin told Arthur to pull the sword from the stone.  Arthur pulled the sword out with ease.  Everyone cried and cheered.  Long live King Arthur.
